This research is devoted to the study of the role of digitalization in ensuring the competitiveness of Russian enterprises in modern conditions. The paper considers the theoretical basis of the impact of digital transformation processes on the key parameters of business competitiveness, such as productivity, innovation activity, flexibility and adaptability to market changes. The dynamics of digitalization of various sectors of the domestic economy is analyzed, the key trends and disproportions in this area are identified. Special attention is paid to the impact of restrictive measures of Western countries on the processes of digital transformation of Russian enterprises, as well as the assessment of barriers and risks they face in the conditions of sanctions pressure. On the basis of the analysis, a set of practical recommendations aimed at accelerating the digitalization of Russian business and strengthening its competitiveness at the national and global levels was formed. The key areas in this area include: accelerating import substitution programs in software and equipment, improving the system of personnel training and retraining, expanding state support for investment in digital modernization, developing cooperation ties between Russian companies, and improving the regulatory framework for digitalization processes. The implementation of the presented measures will contribute to overcoming the limitations caused by sanctions pressure and strengthening the competitive position of domestic enterprises in the long term. The study is based on a wide range of statistical and analytical data provided by both Russian and foreign sources. Particular attention is paid to the assessment of international experience of the impact of digitalization on business competitiveness, which allows us to formulate conclusions and recommendations applicable not only to Russian, but also to companies in other countries. The results of the work can be used by public authorities, development institutions, as well as the management of Russian enterprises in the development and implementation of digital transformation strategies.
